Gourry the Pillow

A friend took me up on an offer to make an appliqué pillow of her favorite character, Gourry Gabriev, from the Slayers series. I took an image from the latest series (a great commercial break image) and appliquéd fabric onto more fabric, satin stitched the edges, then sewed it into a pillow cover. One pillowform later...

Ta da! Gourry the pillow! Sure to bring smiles, or perhaps something more. Much as I'd hate to see the pillow abuse, I can't help but be amused thinking how awesome it would be wielding him in a pillow fight!

Fabrics and threads used were 100% cotton, for extra softness. Each and every single aspect of this was done with a sewing machine, even the detailing around Gourry's eye.
